COACHING IS NOT THERAPY

Life Wide Open Project coaching programs are not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, therapy, or medical advice. Our coaches are not licensed therapists, psychologists, or medical professionals.

Coaching is a goal-oriented, forward-focused partnership designed to help you build identity, increase self-worth, and create intentional change in your life. It is not clinical treatment for mental health conditions.

Disclaimers.

Coaching is not designed to address active crises and should not be your primary support during mental health emergencies.

  • During enrollment, we assess whether coaching is the right fit for your current needs. If we determine that professional mental health treatment would be more appropriate for you, we will:

    1. Pause your coaching enrollment

    2. Provide referrals to qualified mental health professionals

    3. Support you in connecting with appropriate care

We take this responsibility seriously and will not proceed with coaching if we believe professional mental health support is your primary need at this time.

  • If you experience a mental health crisis while enrolled in our program, we will:

    1. Pause your coaching immediately.

    2. Refer you to crisis resources (988, 911, or local mental health services)

    3. Recommend you work with a mental health professional before resuming coaching
