This policy outlines how Life Wide Open Project, LLC ("Company") discloses affiliate relationships and complies with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines regarding endorsements and testimonials.

  • Life Wide Open Project, LLC may recommend or promote third-party products and services, including but not limited to:

  • Affiliate disclosures will appear in the following locations:

    A. Website & Blog Posts

    • Disclosure Statement: A clear statement at the beginning or end of content containing affiliate links

    • Link Labeling: Affiliate links will be labeled with "affiliate link" or similar language

    • Hover Text: Affiliate links may include hover text explaining the affiliate relationship

    Example Disclosure: "This post contains affiliate links. If you click and make a purchase, I may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. I only recommend products I genuinely believe in."

    B. Email Communications

    • Subject Line: Emails containing affiliate promotions will be labeled as promotional

    • Disclosure Statement: A clear disclosure statement will appear near the affiliate link

    • Unsubscribe Option: All promotional emails will include an unsubscribe option

    Example Disclosure: "I earn a commission if you purchase through this link."

    C. Social Media Posts

    • Hashtags: Posts containing affiliate links will use hashtags such as #ad, #affiliate, or #sponsored

    • Caption: A clear disclosure statement will appear in the post caption

    • Platform Compliance: Disclosures will comply with each social media platform's requirements

    Example Disclosure: "#ad - I earn a commission if you purchase through this link."

    D. Video Content

    • On-Screen Text: Affiliate disclosures will appear as on-screen text

    • Verbal Disclosure: Affiliate relationships will be disclosed verbally

    • Description: Video descriptions will include affiliate disclosures and links

    Example Disclosure: "This video contains affiliate links. I earn a commission if you purchase through these links."

  • A. Recommended Products

    The Company may recommend products from the following vendors:

    • Amazon: Books, journals, wellness products, office supplies, and other merchandise

    • Coaching & Training Platforms: Online courses, coaching programs, and educational materials

    • Wellness & Self-Care: Supplements, fitness products, meditation apps, and wellness tools

    C. Non-Endorsement

    The Company does not endorse or recommend products that:

    • Are unproven or unsubstantiated

    • Conflict with the Company's values or mission

    • Have poor customer reviews or safety concerns

    • Are from competitors or conflicting services

    • Do not provide genuine value to clients

  • A. Honest Testimonials

    All testimonials and endorsements reflect the honest opinions of the endorser and are based on:

    • Genuine Experience: The endorser has actually used the product or service

    • Typical Results: The testimonial reflects typical results, not exceptional or unusual outcomes

    • No Compensation: The endorser has not been compensated for the testimonial (unless clearly disclosed)

    • Voluntary: The testimonial is voluntary and not coerced or required

    B. Testimonial Disclaimers

    Testimonials will include disclaimers such as:

    • "Results may vary based on individual circumstances"

    • "This testimonial reflects the personal experience of the endorser"

    • "The Company does not guarantee similar results"

    • "Individual results depend on effort, commitment, and personal circumstances"

    C. Client Testimonials

    If the Company uses client testimonials in marketing:

    • The client has provided written consent via the Testimonial & Photo Release

    • The testimonial is accurate and reflects the client's genuine experience

    • The Company has not altered or misrepresented the testimonial

    • The client has not been compensated for the testimonial (unless clearly disclosed)

  • A. Sponsored Content Disclosure

    If the Company creates content sponsored by a third party:

    • Clear Label: Content will be labeled as "sponsored," "paid partnership," or similar language

    • Prominent Placement: The label will appear at the beginning of the content

    • Disclaimer: A disclaimer will explain the nature of the sponsorship

    Example Disclosure: "This content is sponsored by [Company Name]. I have been compensated for this post."

    B. Paid Partnerships

    If the Company enters into a paid partnership with a vendor:

    • Disclosure: The partnership will be clearly disclosed

    • Compensation: The nature and amount of compensation will be disclosed (if appropriate)

    Endorsement: The Company will only endorse products it genuinely believes in

  • A. Contractor Compliance

    All contractors, employees, and influencers who promote Company products or affiliate products must:

    • Disclose Relationships: Clearly disclose any affiliate or paid relationships

  • The Company will not:

    • Hide Affiliate Relationships: Fail to disclose affiliate relationships or commissions

    • Make False Claims: Make unsubstantiated or false claims about products

    • Mislead Consumers: Use deceptive practices or misleading language

    • Compensate for Testimonials: Pay for testimonials without clear disclosure

    • Alter Testimonials: Misrepresent or alter client testimonials

    • Recommend Harmful Products: Recommend products that are unsafe or harmful

    • Use Bait & Switch: Advertise one product and promote a different one

  • A. Complaint Process

    If a consumer has a complaint about an affiliate disclosure or product recommendation:

    1. Contact the Company at admin@lwoproject.co

    2. Provide details about the complaint

    3. The Company will investigate and respond within 10 business days

    B. FTC Complaints

    Consumers may file complaints with the FTC at:

  • Pursuant to Amazon's Operating Agreement:

    Life Wide Open Project, LLC is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

    Disclosure: "As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases."

    This disclosure applies to all links to Amazon products on the Company's website, social media, and email communications.

  • This policy is governed by:
